Aquarium
Interactive installation by marpi fills a large room with projected visuals which learns and evolves from the actions of its audience:
An AI driven audio-visual interactive art installation with music by Subsquare, a permanent piece at The Midway Gallery in San Francisco, US.
An underwater themed, fully physics enabled interactive simulation - an experiment in organic procedural generation using Artificial Intelligence. Finding ways the creation can finally surprise the creator.
Aquarium is a never-ending, evolving project. Using Unity based Machine Learning the application adapts to people interacting with it, trying to react and respond to everyone around.
The main concept is a reverse aquarium metaphor. Showing you the view from a pet fish perspective, how it feels when a huge alien creature tries to communicate and play with you.
Over two hours of original music was composed, then cut into small pieces that could be mixed back together seamlessly in real-time, based on the actions of the audience. Being a part of the music concert of the future, everyone can collaborate and create their own audio-visual show or watch others perform.
